Louis Vuitton uses acronyms to size many of their bags. This guide will explain what BB, PM, MM, and GM stand for.
What Does BB, PM, MM, and GM Mean?
Louis Vuitton typically creates several sizes of the same style bag. The acronyms you see behind a name indicate the size of the bag (i.e. Neverfull PM = Small, Neverfull MM = Medium, Neverfull GM = Large). Unfortunately, not all Louis Vuitton bags are made in all four sizes. For example, the Alma comes in all four sizes (BB, PM, MM, GM), but the Trevi only comes in two (PM and GM).
BB: The smallest, mini bag size
We aren’t actually certain what BB actually stands for, but since it usually refers to a mini sized bag, we are guessing it stands for “baby bandouliere” (which means baby shoulder bag).
